Question
Solve x² − 5x + 6 = 0
Approach
Factorise the quadratic, then use the fact that a product is zero only when one of its factors is.
- Find the pair of numbers
- Split the middle term
- Factorise in pairs
- Solve each factor
A written sample, not a live answer. In the app, Spark AI answers your own question.
How it works
From a stuck question to an answer you understand.
The whole flow, step by stepSend the question
Photograph the page or type it out. A photo is shown back to you first, so you can check it is readable before it is sent.
Read the working
The approach, each step and the answer, with the maths written properly on your phone. Arithmetic and final equations are rechecked before you see them.
Say whether it landed
Every answer ends with one question: did this clear your doubt? Yes, and the doubt is marked clear.
Still confused? Ask a person
From there you can take the doubt to an expert, who sees your question and the AI's working.
Talk to an expert
When an explanation does not land, a person takes over.
The expert sees your question and Spark AI's answer, so you never explain it twice. You can also go to an expert straight from the home screen, with a question or without one.
- Chat
- Type, or send a voice note when it is easier to say.
- A short video call
- Up to two minutes of video a day, across all your calls. Calls are recorded; your camera is not.
- A shared whiteboard
- During the call, the expert can draw it out for you.
- It does not use your AI doubts
- Asking an expert is separate from your five free AI doubts a day.
Experts are added by the Spark AI team and are not online all the time. The app shows whether one is online before you ask. If nobody is, you can ask for a callback instead.
Subjects and exams
The four subjects your entrance exam asks about.
You choose your class and exam when you set up, and Spark AI answers with them in mind. It knows which subjects your exam examines; it does not follow a board's chapter list.
| Subject | JEE | NEET | EAPCET |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | Examined | Not examined | Examined |
| Physics | Examined | Examined | Examined |
| Chemistry | Examined | Examined | Examined |
| Biology | Not examined | Examined | Examined |
EAPCET examines Mathematics in its engineering stream and Biology in its agriculture and pharmacy stream. Classes: Class 11, Class 12, Dropper.
Questions
Before you start
All questionsHow much does Spark AI cost?
Spark AI does not ask for payment anywhere today. Every student gets five free AI doubts a day, and the count starts again at midnight, India time.
Talking to an expert does not use any of your five AI doubts.
How do I sign in?
With your mobile number. Spark AI sends a one-time code by SMS; you type it in, and you are in. There is no password and no separate sign-up: a new number becomes a new account once its code is confirmed.
Indian (+91) mobile numbers only, for now.
Why does it say I am on the waitlist?
Spark AI is in early access and open to a limited group of approved students. Anyone can sign in and set up their account. If your number has not been approved yet, you will see the waitlist screen when you finish setting up, and your place is kept.
There is no separate form to join. When your access is approved, signing in with the same number takes you straight into the app.
Are the answers always right?
No. Spark AI is an AI and it can be wrong. Before an answer is shown, the server recomputes the arithmetic in the working, substitutes roots back into the equation and counts the atoms in a final chemical equation, and an answer that fails those checks is corrected or held back. Explanations in words cannot be checked that way.
That is why every answer ends with “Did this clear your doubt?”. If it did not, you can take it to an expert.
Who are the experts, and are they always available?
Experts are people the Spark AI team adds one by one. Nobody can sign up as an expert.
They are not always online. The app shows whether an expert is online before you ask, and the hours experts are scheduled when the team has set them. If nobody is online, you can ask for a callback instead, and someone at Spark AI will call you on your registered number.
Bring the question you are stuck on.
